While in Miramichi, do not miss some of the outstanding and unparalleled local cultural attractions, including the Miramichi Natural History Museum - corner of University Avenue and Wellington Street, and across the street from Ben's Take-out, a fixture in Chatham for over 50 years!

Explore Middle Island, a site of deep historical importance for the Irish in the area. You can read much more about Middle Island, including details of a proposed Irish Cultural Heritage Attraction.

Take a stroll through scenic French Fort Cove, through meandering trails that pass old stone quarries, hidden valleys and past the spot of one of Miramichi's most nefarious legends - that of the Headless Nun.

We encourage you to read about the historical agreement signed between our community and that of County Monaghan, Ireland. This agreement has solidified our Irish roots with strong modern ties to the homeland.
