Miramichi Irish Festival 2001
July 19 - 22, 2001
City of Miramichi, New Brunswick
Canada

Canada's Irish Festival is an annual celebration of music, culture and family! From open-air concerts to music workshops to family reunions, it is a premiere event that is not to be missed.

The Miramichi Irish Festival Committee has put together a jam-packed entertainment package that combines our excellent homegrown talent with some of Ireland's best entertainers and musicians.

The excitement begins Friday night with an even bigger encore of last year's highly successful CyberPub. This year the live video link between Miramichi and the Old Ground Hotel Pub in Ennis, Ireland will occur at the arena, allowing even more people to experience the first rate talent of entertainers in both communities. This is just the beginning! Afterwards, Sons of the River, the Cornerboys and some special Irish guests will ensure that everyone gets into the mood for a fun-filled weekend by rounding out a lively first night of entertainment.

The Can-Irish flavor continues on Saturday with the local favorites, the Cornerboys, followed by the young vibrant award wining Irish group, Dan. These two groups will ensure that toes keep tapping, hands clapping and bodies swaying throughout the second evening.

Sunday evening takes on an Irish Festival wrap-up party atmosphere as featured festival performers combine to hold the biggest Ceilidh ever held on the Miramichi! The Pub Dogs, Hal An Tow, and the Cornerboys will be joined by the Irish groups Dan, the Ceili Bandits and Geraldine Kelly for a jam-packed evening of Irish music for all.

This year's Irish Festival guarantees spectacular moments that will be remembered for many years to come!
